Lochcarron Medical Practice Update

Recalls

We shall be implementing a new recall system for patients who qualify and have an annual/birthday review. 

You will now receive one or multiple text messages advising you to make an appointment for your review.

Within the text will be a letter i.e. (A, B, C, D, E), please give to the reception/admin team when you call. If you receive multiple texts please give reception all the letters within each text message. 

If you have a mobile phone please make sure we have the correct number.

If you do not have a mobile number we shall still be in contact with you.

New Practice Nurse

Sadly Joanne Hilley our Practice Nurse has finished working at the Surgery. 

We shall miss Joanne very much but she is still part of the Community Nursing Team, which means we shall still see her now and again.

We have been very fortunate in being able to recruit a new Practice Nurse, Victoria MacArthur (Vicky).  Please be patient whilst Vicky learns our systems and ways.

Hospital/Dental Prescription

When you attend hospital/dentist and are given a prescription, please take the script to the pharmacy within the hospital or a pharmacy close to the hospital/dentist.

Although we can dispense medications here we are not a pharmacy and we cannot dispense external prescriptions. 

Visiting Lochcarron

If you are visiting Lochcarron regularly please make sure you bring enough medication with you to cover the duration of your stay. 

If you have an acute illness (eg Urinary Tract Infection) during your stay we shall do our best to get you an appointment.
