Appointments

Routine GP Appointments

These are available every morning and early afternoon(except Wednesday), and can be booked in advance in person, by phoning the surgery or via online services.

Late afternoon appointments are available but we would appreciate these being used only by people who need them, for example children at school or those working earlier in the day.

We only have one doctor on Thursdays and Fridays but there are normally plenty of appointments available.

Urgent Appointments

These will be allocated to whichever doctor is “on duty” that day. This means you might not see the GP of your choice unless you are willing to wait until the next day.

Telephone Appointments

If you think your problem can be dealt with by phone please let the receptionist know and you can be allocated a phone appointment. You will need to provide a phone number and be available around the time allocated. The doctor will phone you as close to that time as possible. Please be aware that the doctor may feel they need to see you and so ask you to come in.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

If you have been referred to hospital and are anxious to know when you will be seen or reviewed, contact Raigmore Hospital directly on 01463 704000, or check your hospital letter or appointment card for a departmental telephone number.
