Podiatry is a branch of medicine specialised in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the foot, ankle & lower limb.

Although autonomous clinicians, podiatrists are key members of the multidisciplinary team, collaborating with consultants, nurses and other allied health professionals.
NHS Highland podiatry service is needs-led, supporting, educating and enabling self-management where appropriate. Our goal is to help our patients regain independence, alleviate pain, and enhance their quality of life.

NHS Highland Podiatry Service does not undertake personal foot care. E.g. nail care / minor callus reduction / dry skin management.  

Our podiatrist is Mrs Claire Mackenzie.  Claire attends the Practice on Tuesdays and appointments can be made by completing the referral form here and emailing it to nhsh.podiatryslwr@nhs.scot

Please note, our Reception staff are not able to make appointments for Claire.

The title Podiatrist is legally protected and to use this title the person must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
